Yes, Fuse Search is Authentication Aware
Many organizations have complex privilege systems used to determine access to member-only content. Fuse Search supports single-sign-on (SSO) with every major association management system (AMS) so that the right content is delivered to the right people in the search results. Best of all, tying your AMS' SSO into Fuse is part of our job and covered in the fee you pay.
We encourage clients to show previews (i.e. abtracts) of members-only content in the search results listing, dangling a carrot for prospective members to understand what's available. Clicking on the search result, however, will prompt the prospect to log in. You've now shown actual examples that reflect the value of membership in your organization - e.g. a snippet from a journal article or an in-depth conversation taking place in your discussion forum.
While our recommended approach is above, some content is just too sensitive. As such, certain content can be filtered so that non-members cannot pull search results that have member-only content. Each organization can make the determination on what content can appear in a search. For example, those board of director meeting minutes can be excluded from all searches except those made by board members themselves.
